Apply early spring through midsummer, as soon as weeds appear
Best results when outflow is stopped for 30+ days
Ideal water levels: treat when pond is at or near normal level
Standard Dose: 1 quart per surface acre (higher rate for watermeal: 1.5 quarts/acre)
Split Treatment: Apply half the dose initially, then repeat in 10–14 days
Bank or boat application: Pour or inject directly into water
No sprayer? Just dilute in a clean container with water and pour evenly across pond
Injection method: If using a sprayer, keep nozzle underwater and spray in a straight stream
For heavy infestations: Gently disperse dense mats of vegetation before treating to allow the herbicide to penetrate the water column
Important: Do not mist Sonar AS over floating plants—apply directly into the water for maximum effectiveness.
